Teesside Lions Basketball Club is delighted to announce a new partnership with Pitch! Sports Bar Middlesbrough, opening in July 2026, and set to be one of the region's premier destinations for live sport, entertainment and community engagement.

The partnership brings together two ambitious Teesside organisations with a shared passion for creating memorable sporting experiences and supporting the growth of sport within the local community. Pitch Sports Bar is part of the Pneuma Group, a locally based investment company committed to making a positive impact in the region.

Located under the A66 opposite Stack, in the heart of Middlesbrough, Pitch! Sports Bar will boast a 7-metre LED screen, TV screens throughout the venue, and the area’s first sports simulators.

Pitch! will offer visitors the chance to try a variety of sports in a fun, interactive environment for all ages, offering an unrivalled atmosphere to watch live events from around the world.

With state-of-the-art screens, exceptional hospitality and a commitment to delivering a first-class customer experience, Pitch! is destined to become a popular hub for sports enthusiasts across the region.

The new sponsorship agreement will see Pitch! Sports Bar support the continued growth of the Teesside Lions programme, which now encompasses National Basketball League competition, a rapidly expanding junior pathway, community engagement initiatives and the club's successful partnership with Teesside University.

The announcement comes at an exciting time for the Lions. Following another season of growth both on and off the court, preparations are already underway for the 2026-27 campaign, with the club continuing to invest in player development, community programmes and its long-term ambitions for basketball across Teesside.
