Teesside Lions can confirm that Serge Bojev has resigned from his position as Head Coach of the club’s senior men’s programme.

Serge leaves the role with the thanks and appreciation of everyone connected with the club after his time leading the team through an important period of transition and development.

During his tenure, Serge worked with a young and evolving squad competing at NBL Division One and Two divisions, helping to develop players while maintaining the competitive standards expected of the programme.

The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Serge for the commitment, professionalism and time he has given to Teesside Lions.

His work has extended beyond results on the court, with Serge playing an important role in supporting the development of players and helping the club navigate the challenges of competing at national level with a developing roster.

Teesside Lions continues to place a strong emphasis on creating opportunities for talented young players, alongside its growing partnership with Teesside University and the development of the club’s wider performance pathway.

The club respects Serge’s decision to step away and wishes him every success for the future.

Teesside Lions will now begin the process of determining the next steps for the senior men’s coaching programme.
